This week, Edgewood Valley Country Club welcomed Ela Martinek to its staff as Director of Catering & Events.

Born and raised in Chicago, Martinek has more than 10 years of experience in the hospitality and service industry. She most recently worked as the Event Sales Coordinator for the Signature Barn Banquet Hall in Orland Park, helping plan and execute a wide range of private events from birthday parties and baby showers to 500+ person weddings and parties.

Martinek graduated from The Art Institute with a bachelor's degree in advertising and started her career working in resorts and hotels. She also worked in various roles at The Mayfield banquet facility and the University Club of Chicago.

“I am thrilled to join the staff at Edgewood Valley and am very much looking forward to getting to know the membership,” said Martinek. “I am very passionate about making people happy and delivering high quality service to help achieve the greatest results for every event.”
